The move to DentalCare Pakuranga has highlighted just how labour intensive our telephone recall system was.  While many of you liked this very personalised system, you will probably realise that it takes a lot of staff time.


Patients are busy these days and often our phone calls to you go unanswered for many reasons - you may be driving or in a meeting.  You try to ring us back, but our receptionist is on another line and you can’t get through. Messages we leave you may be retrieved after hours when you have time but then we’re not there to answer the phone and book appointments for you.  Then you forget..... and we have to try to ring you again.....


From now on, we will send you an SMS/Text Message at the appropriate time.  You can read this at your leisure.  It will alert you to the fact you’re due and will have a link to our new Online Booking system.  This system will operate 24hrs/day.  You can make the appointment yourself and it’s “done”.  Should wish to ring us to make an appointment there will also be a link to do this from the SMS.
